All Things Fall

I am enamored with this time of year, and life’s seasonal expression warms my heart . Monarchs and Painted Ladies are the  final tokens of summer coexisting with fallen leaves adorning the ground. Bumble bees swarm the last flower in bloom while vibrant trees embellish the block.

Fall Festivals, pumpkin carving, and all things Autumn bring a specific warmth to this time of year. The drives home are enriched by home decor of the surrounding neighborhoods. The festive atmosphere adds to the collective excitement of what’s unfolding.

Holidays themselves bring joy to the human spirit. It is the anticipation however that prolongs the thrill. Fall recipe exchanges and decorating quickly give way to budding excitement for winter. So it pays to be in the fullness of the season.

As a mom I’ve enjoyed seeing my toddler get into the spirit. Within the last three years she’s enjoyed Christmas community parades, met the grinch, and enjoyed numerous fall bonfires and festivals. As an artist my heart is full at the inspiration I pull from this time of year. Whether it is colorful fall scenery outdoors, Christmas music, or festive clothing, Everything is a muse!

The joint calm and elation of this time of year is uncanny. Fall festivals, early Christmas shopping, and fun fall fashion give the communal atmosphere a tangible, shared enthusiasm. The energy is  timeless, as its infectiousness comes yearly without fail.
